Moors on fire near Mallaig

The sun is hot today and the moors are dry. Fire risk is high and we can smell the smoke blowing inland from Loch Nevis.

Today we climb Garbh Chioch Mhor (1013m). This is another epic day walk from Glen Dessary, but a much more enjoyable one. A longer 6km bike ride got us up to the 'bridge of doom', continuing on foot further up the valley before a steep ascent up the Feadan na Ciche (chanting gully - see extra) to get up on top.
