Stones of Steness

A cold and rather grey day, but I enjoyed a pleasant day being a tourist. It tends to be the only time one visits some places - when there is a visitor to show round.

It was lovely to go into the Italian Chapel again and spend some quiet moments in St Magnus Cathedral. For archaeology, the Stones of Steness and the Ring of Brodgar. A taster day of the many interesting places Orkney has to offer.

M was impressed and enthusiastic, though his most oft repeated comment was: "I wish I'd put more layers on! "
