Diane's Tree

I have to give some of the credit for my blip today to Cailleach because her blip yesterday of her turquoise tree inspired me to take this close up at a friends house today. Diane is one of the women I take art classes with and also a member of our bookclub. Today she very kindly had the bookclub over for a holiday lunch at her house and her tree was so beautiful. I took many nice picture of her home and of our lunch together but the close up of the tree was my favorite choice for my blip.

When you get up close with the lens and look 'into' the tree it's like some sort of magical place all glowing and warm. Okay maybe the red wine had something to do with it! However, even after the wine wore off I still really liked the result.
If I hadn't already put my camera down, there would have been another REALLY good shot I could have gotten. It was one of those moments when you wish you were always ready with your camera.
Poor Jeanne had come into the room and was talking after just using the bathroom and as she turned to walk away there was a long 6-8 foot length of toilet tissue coming from the top of her pants and trailing along the floor. She had no idea at all and we all were bent in half laughing and trying to get the words out to tell her about it. It took a few seconds but she finally did realize what had happened. She was a really good sport about it. We have such a great group of women in our little book club and we have lots of laughs and good times together. Today was no exception!
