THE WEST ROSE

I'm three days late, but it took me a while to find this transparency - it's the West Rose in Notre Dame de Paris.

1967 was my last year at art college & for the history of art thesis I chose Gothic stained glass & spent a whole summer visiting the principal gothic cathedrals in France.

I spent many hours in Notre Dame, climbed the towers twice & have a great love for the place - am keeping fingers crossed, hoping this marvellous work of art has survived...?
