Wound up in Wexford

Clematis

We bought four different clematis plants to grow up the trellis arch.  The intention was that there would be an early and a late flowering one on each side - but we seem to have got the planting wrong, as both the plants on one side are early flowering, and both on the other side are later flowering.  Oh well.

We've had another busy day in the garden.  W cut the lawn this morning, whilst I weeded the passage to the back door.  This is a narrow bit of the garden, with a central paved path and gravel edges to either side, and a fully gravelled area at the end.  There isn't much you can do with it, as it is tucked away in a corner and gets very little sun.  The only things growing there are a wisteria and a honeysuckle - neither of them ideally positioned, but both well established, so we don't intend to interfere with them.  Eventually, all the gravelling needs to be cleared and redone, but meanwhile, it grows weeds in abundance, and these have to be cleared periodically.

Then we took a trip to the tip with all our green waste, before spending some more time on the paving around the raised beds.
