Cattle

As I walked around the river this morning these cattle were obligingly gathered at the water's edge on the other side. This is one of their drinking spots, where the bank is being eroded into a muddy slope. The photo seems a bit underexposed, and doesn't really show up the lovely mixture of different coloured coats they have, mostly varieties of chestnut brown. It's easier to see in the extra, which is better exposed, at a longer focal length.
