Should have taken a before! This morning there was a large conifer here, we originally planted it nearly 40 years ago so it must have been about 45 years old. It was supposed to grow to 3 m in 10 years but, of course, it didn't stop then!.
A friend with a chain saw came to do some tree work for us and, instead of taking payment, we give a donation to the church building fund. He took down this tree and some branches on a couple of others and I was busy helping and then clearing up, several hours work altogether.
I did take a bit off time off in the middle for lunch and some sewing.
