Wood Anemones

I took Basil out to Swithland Wood this afternoon in the brilliant sunshine. Cold mind. First time I've taken Basil out for an extended walk for a while.

Wood Anemones carpet the woodland floor until the bluebells take over at the end of the month. A few bluebells have already emerged.

Wood anemones are such beautiful little flowers.
