Sunshine at da Lighthoose

The cold northerly winds are still blowing, but a sunny morning, with a cloudy afternoon, and dry all day.

I headed to work in the museum this morning.  Various jobs for the day, not in the museum.  Me and Yvonne headed down to the Crofthouse Museum.  It's still not open yet, but we had tour guides in for a look around, and the peat fire roaring.  After we headed to Sumburgh Head.  Walkies with Sammy, and then headed to the pub for my shift.  Finished early, more walkies, and now feet are up.

A fine morning for a run out, but bitterly cold.  We had a few jobs to look at in the lighthouse visitor centre.  I also did a tour about looking for puffins, saw none today.  This is some of the old lighthouse buildings, and they always seem to give me a feel of being somewhere other than Shetland.  Built by Robert Stevenson in 1821, it's the oldest lighthouse here.  Taken at Sumburgh Head.
