Excited!!

I’m trying my hand at “no till” gardening with these potatoes and they are up!! I’m growing them in a large tractor tire. I put down a layer of old hay, threw the potato eyes onto it, and covered it up with more hay. I put a tiny bit of composted manure between the layers but not much. I am so excited! Have any of you vegetable gardeners ( Davesphotos, madchickenwoman) ever tried this method? I planted onions this way today.
I’m also growing celery for the first time this year.
And, I’ve redone the herb bed and planted an echinacea bed.
Have I mentioned how much I love retirement?? :—))
