A fine day
The skies cleared and the wind dropped. Time for the butterfly transects !
Jane came to join us with a little dog she is minding called Molly, and we set off up Whitbarrow. There were plenty of Brimstone and Peacock butterflies, and I saw the first Orange Tip.
The damson blossoms are just beginning to open up there, a week behind those in the Lyth valley. With this weather we may get a good crop.
