The Village Bakery

It was a bright morning so after breakfast I walked to the bakery to buy some bread and rolls.  Andy is off playing golf today so he wanted to make some sandwiches to eat as he went around the course!  It has been a day of chores - as Saturdays often tend to be - catching up with things after a week at work.  The more enjoyable of the chores was making soup and walking Merlin in the field surrounded by Blackthorn blossom and the oak trees coming into leaf.  There are moments when it feels more like May than April, although earlier this week that was definitely not the case!   

It is one year today, since we collected Merlin from the home where he was raised in Wiltshire.  I don't think we could have imagined what hard work he would be but also what a kind and caring boy he is to us.  We'd be lost without him.  Thanks Merlin, for all the fun and love you bring into our lives.
