Coolboy House

The very first house I ever saw all dressed up for Christmas, was this one, Coolboy House just outside Arklow. That was about 10 years ago and for my money it's still the best. Consisting of two buildings, one either side of the driveway, every nook and cranny is filled with light.
Speaking of money, the whole idea is to raise money for one of the big children's hospitals in Dublin. They have a big collection box outside and most folk drop something into it. The electricity to power this lot is donated by the utility company. Would you believe it, a few years ago, some vandals came in the depths of the night and smashed some of the displays. They should be thanking their lucky stars that I didn't catch up with them!!!!
And now, as if I really needed it in time for Christmas, I have developed a blocked saliva gland. Every time I eat, the saliva is blocked and my face swells up on the right hand side. Uncomfortably painful it is too. So, early to bed. The doctor isn't in the least bit worried about it, but then he doesn't have to chew my food for me!!!
