First Glimpse of Spring

Spring comes earlier here being much further south and it's nice to be comfortable walking outside, which helps when contemplating what to photograph.

I was struck by how brightly the yellow blossom stands out in the shade of the forest under overcast skies. The intense colour separates the small tree from the taller trunks behind.
