Spring Lamb
It's the first day of British Summer Time and with the clocks going forward an hour, I saw the sun rising over the Tye and as we've been waking up early since our holiday, at least we've claimed an hour back :-)
Alan went to his shooting club this morning and I went to the gym, albeit for a very gentle workout as I was told on Friday that I shouldn't do anything for 10 days. So I just walked on the treadmill and did the leg weights, it felt like a waste of time, but to be honest just getting back into the habit of going is good when I've missed a couple of weeks.
I then drove to Saddlescombe Farm as they had a lambing open day with lambs born over the last few days, and some were even born this morning. I was amazed to see how many sheep were expecting, but the farm is very organised and the sheep have been separated into pens relating to how many lambs they're due to have.
I was home just after Alan and have had a very relaxed afternoon - this morning I'd put dinner in the slow cooker, and I'm ashamed to say it was slow cooked lamb shanks! I didn't think that through very well did I? Alan mowed the grass and then went to watch the F1 while I caught up on Coronation Street - I had about 20 episodes on record, I didn't watch them all though!
Happy Mothers Day to all the mums out there, and hugs to those who don't have their mums anymore x
