LENT LUNCH

Today it was our turn to run the Lent Lunch. Obviously our charity of choice was for Kidney Research.
I started setting up at 11...a nice slow pace. K&J joined me to help then the food arrived with the Rev, Chef O & M.
#It was a fabulous family effort with great support from Jan and Elaine (my LWL...Ladies Wot Lunch friends).
We were advised to cater for 30-50...,Well we had to cook for 50 and hope it went or it would be leftovers for Mother’s Day!!! It was a slow start but
## it was a pretty full house...I counted 52!!! We ran out of desserts for the last 4!!! and had only a 3 portions of lasagne and 2 curry left!! Phew.
#so grateful for all the washing up LWL...what a team we all made.

There's something about it that makes sense, Lent. You give something up, and everything's more joyful. Elaine Stritch
Well today was definitely joyful as we all gave up some time to hopefully help others in their quest to find a cure for the disease that has struck our son. Grateful to all the research so far...long May it continue.
