Kidding About

To establish some sense of normalcy in my own head, I invited our friends for dinner tonight. Husband Dear grilled sausages and vegetables, I cooked a pot of vegetarian chili. We also had a pie for dessert, and baked a batch of cookies to be decorated next week. The kids (and Dads) set up the electric train around the tree, drew, played with tractors and chose their favorite cookie sprinkles.

I have been sick with some virus for the past few days; today is the first day I feel semi-normal.

The Connecticut tragedy rarely leaves my thoughts. I want to share with you a most excellent blip by Nanzy19. I am a new subscriber to her journal, and am enjoying her thoughts and images immensely.

PS. The picture is blurry because I had a fingerprint on the lens. ALL of my pictures from today are blurry on the right, this one least so. Bugger...
