The Lakes

A lovely day. Warmth in the sunshine. Skies blue. So a day for traveling around. And ice-cream (see extra). A boat trip from Ambleside (main blip) to Bowness and back. A drive to Bowness for lunch. Then off to Keswick via Grasmere (passed but not stopped at Wandsworth cottage] then past Derwent Water to Buttermere via the Honister Pass (see twisty road extra). Then back over the Newlands Pass with magnificent vista (see extra of wide view).

Back to our site in time for a cookery demonstration followed by dinner. Full but very enjoyable day.
