Low Tide

I woke up at 4am as I seem to be doing at the moment, but went back to sleep only to wake at 5am and then 6am.  I knew there was a really low tide at 7.30am and the sun was shining so I decided to get up and head down to the beach.  I sent a message to my Brighton Skies group of friends to see if anyone else was down there, and Rose was so we met up at the West Pier.  We also met two guys from the group, one of whom had been swimming round the West Pier with is Go-Pro camera.  It was a fabulous morning and I'm really glad I made the effort to go down.  Just as we were about to leave we heard a loud cheer and when we looked to see what it was, we saw that people were abseiling down the i360 (see my extras).

I was home for 8.30am, and made scrambled eggs, bacon and avocado for breakfast, and then we drove to Seaford for a walk along the beach to Splash Point, and then wandered into town before having a hot chocolate and a coffee sat on a deckchair on the beach.  Then on our way home we called at Elif & Seyran's as it's Luca's first birthday today and we had a present for him, but unfortunately he was asleep so we didn't get to see him.

This afternoon, I did all my household chores and cooked a Sunday roast while Alan painted the window of the Palace, and then we sat in the Palace and shared a bottle of prosecco - tomorrow the regime starts again!
