It felt like summer as we watched some rowers on the River Nidd below the railway viaduct at Knaresborough. It’s a lovely place with the town centre perched on the cliffs above the gorge with steep streets and stone steps leading down from the ruined castle area to the river.
We were also very excited to see a Brimstone butterfly which is exceedingly rare in Scotland but unfortunately it never settled long enough for a photo.
