Highland Cattle-Dartmoor

Sun and showers the weather man said and sun and showers we got but we have managed two good walks today without getting wet!

For most of the summer these wonderful cattle have been wondering free over the commons of Dartmoor but in the last few weeks we have not seen them. We have heard that some commoners have been complaining about them and today we came across about 50 of them in a newtake (an enclosed walled area) all looking well and very vocal!
