West Coast Western Cape
'W' is for West/Western! ;-)
Anrie gets the most magnificent photos with her Samsung Cell Phone! Thank you Lovie, you make my life soooo much easier, I would just have blipped inside pics, what with still being too tired to look for bliportunities!! LuvU!!
This picture was taken at Calypso Beach, Langebaan, on the West Coast of the Western Cape Province, South Africa.
The West Coast National Park is situated there as well. This national reserve encompasses what may be South Africa's most important wetland, as it is home to 250,000 waterbirds of various species (including black oystercatchers, ibis and plovers). It is one of the few places in Southern Africa where White Pelican's as well as the Oyster Catchers come to breed.
There are also a variety of antelope in the park, including eland, kudu and zebra.
We took Joe to the OR Tambo Airport very early this morning, he has gone to his parents in Zimbabwe for the Christmas holidays, will return on 6 January. He was sooo excited the whole week, he hasn't seen his parents for almost 17 months now! He messaged us a while ago to say he has arrived safe and sound! ;-)
C&R sr and I are like 3 ghosts at home, hiehiehie!! No children around, we chilled the whole day, they are busy 'Braaing' (BBQ'ing) for us at the moment, and I will quickly get some roast veggies and beetroot salad ready as soon as I've finished blipping!! That's the life!!
Enjoy the last few hours of the weekend!!
