Another very nice day - in the mid 70s! I actually felt hot while walking around the ponds today at the park. Salem had to stop and drink water a couple of times. 

I enjoyed having my  lunch al fresco on the back porch and I had my binoculars within reach to spy on the merlins. I looked up and there were 2 bald eagles flying directly over the house together. They came together once briefly and continued on their way. A huge red-tail hawk was following them. The merlin very wisely got quiet... I really can't believe how much noise she is making. Or him. Anyway, lucky that I had the binocs so I could watch them circle, and it's thrilling to see them flying right over the house.
