Diary of an Edinburgher

Plastered!

LOTS done today! The plasterer has been at it since 8.30, and he's still going (7pm). What a hard job, really, but plasterers are perfectionists. I tried plastering once - thought it looked easy - and left a few bumps to sand off at the end. But it was like rock! Never again.

All action in the kitchen too. We had to buy new floorboards, which of course, are not the same as the original kitchen boards. Too bad. And they all had to be cut to the right width. But all in place now.

We popped to the cafe for a scone (and toilet). Then Libby came to take Archie out. He was SO pleased to see her - he just about smothered her! (Extra 1) They had a big walk to Midmar Paddock, where they saw this cute sign (Extra 2). JR took the photo yesterday, but I forgot to add it in.

Tiler tomorrow in the bathroom, electrician in the kitchen fitting the extractor fan and finishing painting. Phew!

EDIT: The plasterer finished at 8pm! I told him it was a work of art. Which it is.

He was Polish.

Just thought I’d mention that...
