If you can't beat them...

What a day!

The chances of a blip of any kind seemed few at breakfast time.   Fortunately the squirrel appeared and started feeding on the black sunflower the birds had dropped.  Blip sorted.

Our next commitment was a woodland funeral on the windswept slopes of Penrith Beacon.  Di was the wife of a very good friend of mine, it would seem it was her wish people wore red.  I didn't have anything red - sadly.  Her sons stood in the icy wind in Hawaiian shirts and no jackets!   Physically harder men than I ever was.  The funeral was followed by what I can only describe as a party at a venue where we had often socialised.  Di would have loved it.

The next commitment was in a village on the outskirts of Newcastle at an RPS "Celebration of Distinctions".  This was a joint event with the local camera club.   Some fabulous shots were on display and I learned a lot about the RPS Distinctions.
