The Retreat.

This property is a former hunting lodge built in the late 1770s by the Earl of Wemyss, his rural escape from city life in Edinburgh. The house and estate are no longer in the Charteris family and the current owner has it as a family home. It is next to the farm we live on has delightful woodlands to walk through at all times of the year. I was marching out with Fin on my "power hour". I have downloaded Strava on to my phone and now head out each day on a varied terrain 5k plus walk. I like being able to keep record of my hikes and will see what distance I can clock up each week and month!
