Comfort
It was a bright sunny morning so we got up early (for us on a Sunday!) and went for a walk at Emsworth. The breeze of yesterday was still evident and it made it feel rather chilly but we wrapped up and walked along the shore, along the quayside and into the town. Andy stopped to get a sausage roll from the bakery so Merlin and I took a wander to look at Fat Olives restaurant. It is a charming little place, in a 17th century Fisherman's cottage, and the food is delicious. From time to time, Andy and I go there for lunch as a treat.
This afternoon I have been sowing flower seeds - for the garden and the allotment. Merlin came into the garage to watch me for a while but he soon got bored and preferred to be with Andy watching the football. This evening for pudding we've had homemade rice pudding. It felt the perfect comfort after being out in the cold air today.
