Hellebore.

Clickychick saw a plant when we were at the garden centre in Edinburgh, like it but didn't buy it!  Obviously having left Edinburgh she realised her mistake.   So off we set to check out the Carlisle garden centres.

Not only did she find her plant she found a plant "The Mate" wanted, so all in all a successful trip.  Wandering round looking for blips I spotted this Hellebore.   Kanyl was told a while ago by a Hellebore enthusiast that  soon we would be seeing varieties bred to "hold their heads up".  This one stood with its head up but the striking thing (to me at least) was the flower.  About 2/3 the size of a "normal" and looking more delicate.
