Recall

I was looking after Ginger today as The Exile is doing observations of science lessons in a secondary school for the next 3 days. She is deciding whether to train to teach French or Science! Ginger is such a chilled out dog - just saunters along, taking her time to  sniff things. Oscar of course is bounding around! Unfortunatly we met two dogs and he decided he wanted to play with them. The owner kept walking and despite my calls Oscar would not come back and the owner would not stop and they got further and further away till they went out of view! I yelled out for the owner to stop! When I caught up with them he said he thought Oscar would return if he kept walking! Just when would he have realised this was not going to happen? Oscars recall is good apart from when he meets other dogs ...which means his recall is not good and needs more work! I kept him on a lead all the way home and I think he realised I was not pleased!
