Life in a Northern Town

I went across to Leeds for a tax seminar (taking care to not let the excitement kill me). It was in Whitehall Quays, which years ago was a piece of waste ground that we’d park our car on for £3 a day when we worked on Queen’s Street.

Nowadays it’s full of buildings like this.

I parked in the NCP without checking the tariff. So for the pleasure of parking in a smelly concrete box for 2 hours and five minutes I had to cough up £19. I may never recover.
