Up and downs

Last night’s spontaneous trip to the theatre was to see a play called ‘Drip, Drip, Drip’, described as: love, death, racism and hobnobs in the NHS. It was brilliant. Just a small cast of five but totally engaging and a fascinating political commentary.

Today a few of us headed up to Manchester for the Christian Resources Exhibition. It wasn’t quite what any of us were expecting. I guess if you were looking for new chairs to replace your church pews or a new way of projecting your hymns, it was the place to go. Not so much for us though. One highlight was a seminar by Andy Flannigan from Christians in Politics. I remember Andy from conferences in my youth, in quite a different role from this.

We played a game of ‘who-do-you-know’ bingo, usually an easy game at a Christian event. I won but my score was shockingly low.
