Hall of Fame
In the 1964/65 season all five of Chester's forwards scored more than 20 goals in all English competitions. This is the only time that this has happened in the Football League and the club are proud of this record. Three of the five, known as the Famous Five, have already been inducted into Chester's Hall of Fame and today the final two were also added.
The picture shows the new inductees, Hugh Ryden on the left and Jimmy Humes on the right at the presentation. In the middle is Gary Talbot, the club president, and also a member of the Famous Five. Sadly the other two, Elfed Morris and Mike Metcalf are no longer with us.
