Kia ora..

... from a very wet Auckland!! An astonishingly comfortable journey once we got to Dublin, for it snowed most of the way up! I didn't disgrace myself on any flights (chill pills and  anti-nausea tablets seemed to work) and on the Emirates' flights I was plied with fresh fruit. 1c in Dublin, slept through Dubai and 31c in Singapore! Time for an open air bus tour and a swim on the roof top pool of the hotel. Had a sky couch on the next leg to Auckland which was wonderful and entertained myself by listening to Desert Island Discs! Arrived in Auckland, warm and sunny and bought sunnies, hat and sun cream, bad move its been tropical rain ever since! Lovely air bnb with lush garden. Visited War Museum which has magnificent display of Maori artefacts, marvelled at the variety of nationalities and school parties and got very wet going to the Winter Gardens. A day of art today then flying down to Nelson tomorrow where son #2 will meet us. All go!!!
