A day in Knossos

As for everyone in the family, but me, this is the first time to visit Crete, a visit to Knossos cannot be missed. Especially, as Pippa has studied Old Greek language and literature in school for a number of years. Although I had visited before (as it lies on the northern edge of what was my fieldwork area), I was still impressed as well. Although some of Evans’ (the British archaeologist who worked in Knossos for 30 years) reconstruction work is maybe a bit too much, the site is still impressive.
