Planes in Wapping

Day 1 of our Big City adventure. We caught the train from Falmouth through to London - an epic journey without planned tunnel works but at least we weren’t on bus replacements!

Once at Paddington, Eldest navigated us to Kings Cross in preparation for her upcoming Newcastle Adventure. Smallest was delighted to see the Platform 9 3/4 sign but none of us were prepared to join the massive queue to get a photo under it.

Then on to Wapping and “Prospect of Whitby”, apparently the oldest waterside tavern, to meet Steve and Monica whose wedding we went to in Spain last summer. It was a lovely evening with them but typically, the only photos I took of us all were of everyone bring planes for Daniel as we walked back to the station!

Finally we arrived at YHA Thameside - a very luxurious youth hostel compared to seem we’ve stayed in! The highlights included en-suite toilet and shower and finding out is booked breakfast when I booked it months ago!
