Hepatica

Under the Witch Hazel, where in summer leafy canopy provides plenty of shade, should be a good place for growing hepatica.   This quiet little plant with three-lobed leaves also goes under the names Liverleaf and Liverwort and was once used in herbal medicine.  My plants survive and flower each year without increasing much.

A less complicated day than yesterday - many thanks for all the hearts, stars and kind comments.  I played only a small part in the team effort.  Today we delivered home-made pizzas for the family and other folk who are caring for Una and David and had a short visit with Una.  David mostly sleeps.  Good.
