Festival focus

I spent a number of hours today at Nelson's 'Festival of Opportunities' - which, according to the advertising material, aims to provide information and experiential opportunites that will benefit [your] health and well being on all levels.

There was an array of stalls and talks on aromatherapy, homeopathy, astrology, palmistry, herbal remedies, vitamins and minerals, meditation, yoga, holistic pulsing, reiki, therapeutic massage, stress release, tarot, natural cosmetics.......the list goes on! Even though the festival has run for 18 years now, this is the first time I've been along.........another sure sign of the changes and developing awareness going on in me!

The music and entertainment was pretty awesome too - helped in no small way by the glorious weather ;)

These Japanese Taiko drummers were absolutely wonderful! The power, intensity and focus of the performers and the reverberations from the drumming that could be felt through the body were, in a very primitive kind of a way, totally mesmerising.
