Violets
I'm not sure whether these violets are early or not, but they're very welcome all the same. They seem to be a cross between the common darker purple flowers and the white variety, both of which we've had in the garden previously, although only these mid-colour ones seem to be around now. They do tend to spread a lot if unchecked, but it always feels a bit brutal to root them out, not that they're in much danger of disappearing.
I rather miscalculated the depth of field in this photo. For some reason I've never really got used to how this particular lens performs.
