Castell de Sant Nicolau, Ciutadella.

A trip to the far side of the island today on an errand, to Ciutadella. A lot of the roads are dug up for infrastructure repairs before the season, and even the cathedral (extra) is being shored up on one side; I walked past a workman coming out with a wheelbarrow full of rubble as I went in. The electric candle machine took my money but didn't deliver a lit "candle" - I was so put out I forgot to offer up a prayer. The confessional looked interesting as a work of art (2nd extra), and the streets were being patrolled by guardias locales on Segways (3rd extra). I noticed these are used a lot in Barcelona airport, which is huge so a useful idea for getting around quickly.
