Mother and Sister

My Mother.  My Sister.  Bit of a family outing at visiting time today as my sister was in the area for her hair do so came hospital visiting too.  She wasn't doing very well cutting mom's nails  and I'm not sure I did much better either.  I was quite good at rubbing in the hand cream.  Mom was a bit variable in the mood department.  It really went down hill when the nurse came to give her an injection.  She didn't like any of us very much after that.  You may be able to see that is says on the board behind the bed "Sit out every day".  it is incredibly difficult to find out what is happening every day and why.  It seems that she has not sat out today at all, but I couldn't find anyone who knew if that was because she was refusing to do it or she hadn't been worried with to facilitate it.  I think maybe it was one of those things that just got forgotten.  As her medical needs are few, I think she is getting passed over some of the time.  She has clothes there, and plenty of nighties to wear, but she seems to spend most of her time in a hospital gown.  It seems that she is left to feed herself and so this doesn't really happen - but  - I can't find out what is going on.  I do know that she is on antibiotics again for a water infection.  I don't know why she has a catheter.  Well, of course, I know what it does, but why specifically does she need one?  How long is it going to be there?  I might try going in earlier tomorrow to see if I can find out a bit more.  oh, and a zimmer frame has appeared next to the bed.  Can she use it?  I doubt it.

She was really grumpy when I left - complaining about the cold so I put another blanket over her and left.

Attempts to recover files on SD card have failed so far - we have tried three different systems.  I had the first three days of the holiday all on the iPad which started to complain about lack of space so I had to delete lots of stuff, including all the photos which I thought were safe on my SD card.  But, they all seemed to go - from iPad and SD card.  Does anyone have any idea if that loss of images is totally irreversible?  Or do you have any suggesting for a system I could use?  I am now phlegmatic about their disappearance...
