Emsworthy Rocks

It's been another lovely day. By the time I was ready to go out the mist had thickened. I fancied going up to the moor but I wasn't sure whether it would be worse or better up there. As it turned out, it was absolutely beautiful. I walked up to Emsworthy Rocks, a favourite place of mine. Actually, I sang all the way up there. We tried a new song at last night's rehearsal. I'd practiced it at home before and I knew it well and could sing it. However, although I could sing it fine, I couldn't sing it in the register I'd been practicing it in. The trouble is things you can sing on your own at home, you can't necessarily do when you have the whole band and you're less relaxed. Therefore, I need to build up the strength of my voice in that higher register. So I practiced in the van on the way up and with no one about, I continued at full volume all the way to Emsworthy Rocks. I stopped when I got to the gradient as I needed my breath.

There wasn't a cloud anywhere in the sky. I took loads of pictures from different angles, some panoramas and as I was about to leave but with that bright sun having moved a little lower, I decided on a sunburst shot.

This is the only one with some clouds. The 'clouds' actually come from a fire in the distance to the left. It's swaling, the controlled burning of overgrown vegetation, but here it looks just clouds building up and that'll do for me.
