Limestone Pavement.

A walk in the sunshine this morning in the nearby Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve. A magic place. One visited almost exclusively by people who have a passion for Natural History. No tourists or school parties.

It has some of the best limestone pavements in the country. Many plants grow in the grykes. And they include, as here, stunted trees.
