What a 'footer'!

Freezing day today. Think it warmed up to -4 by lunch time and then started to cool down again!
We had a lovely if rather slippy walk in some glorious sunshine but it was just too cold to remove gloves to take a photo; so it's cakes.
I'd been asked by a nice lady to make some cakes as 'thankyous' and felt obliged to say yes which is never a good idea. The iced gingerbread for 40 was no problem but the 6 identical little Christmas cakes were the inspiration for today's title. I love baking but decorating and making them look pretty is my major weak spot; much sighing and bad words went into these! It was a joy to go an and make the mincemeat pies for home; it doesn't matter what they look like as long as they taste right.
All finished now though. Just hope she likes them...........
