At last!

I've waited and watched as the amaryllis has steadily grown and today one of the four flowers finally opened.

I thought it was worth a photo so holding the pot aloft in my left hand I took a couple of quick photos while there was a spell of blue sky. A rather strong gust of wind caught the flower and the petals just opened further.

Anyone passing probably thought I was nuts ..... they're not wrong!
