Exploring

Another lovely day with the girls. Started with breakfast at the Roseleaf with N&S eager to try a full Scottish (they’re very taken with all things Scottish especially trying out the accent!).
Then we had a good walk along Porty beach...in sunshine but with dark clouds in the distance and a rainbow over Fife.
After a pit stop to pack our things we then headed up north and had a lovely walk through the woods at the Hermitage. N was telling us all about the plants, lichen and birds on the way (handy having an ecologist on a walk!) and I surprised them with the waterfall through the little viewing house.
Over to Dunkeld and we had another lovely walk through the woods behind the old cathedral...looking at the enormous latches and redwoods alongside the swollen but smooth River Tay.
Checked in at the hotel, then drinks and dinner talking politics, houses, weddings, careers and the parlous state of the NHS.
