Saturday: Gig Harbor
It's a long weekend both in Canada and the US so we have come on a little jaunt to Gig Harbor, just south of Tacoma. Unfortunately, we had neglected to think about the impact on the border which took us three hours to cross, two hours up to the booth and then another hour for secondary inspection. We'd eaten almost our sandwiches before we'd even left Canada!
Gig Harbor appears very nice but, so far, we have mainly seen it in the dusk - we arrived around 4pm. There are three microbreweries, I'm pleased to report! We check out the 7 Seas Brewing which was very good. We were in the queue to settle our bill and got chatting to the couple behind us who were very insistent that we stay and have another drink.
They've been going out for a few months - Karen was chatting to the guy and he was telling her that he's not really that into his new girlfriend and doesn't know how to tell her. The funny thing is I that I was having exactly the same conversation with her.............she's not that into him......
Dinner at the Tides Tavern which is supposed to have lovely views........
