Headhunted

Someone contacted me yesterday asking if I was interested in moving jobs. Hmm they are tracking your every move, well I should know that I guess. Not that keen to move as I rather like what I do and the people I work with are a good bunch.

Today we had a fire alarm, well I was actually out when the alarm went off but arrived back to see everyone in the car park, they had been there for 20 minutes. We patiently waited another 20 minutes for the fire brigade to arrive which is quite something considering we could have walked to the fire station and back in that time stopping to have a coffee on the way. The fire engine was spotted heading down a road near by in search of our building, three times. Good job there wasn't a real fire I guess. Apparently it was a mal-functioning sensor which led someone to comment, does that mean it might malfunction when it is actually supposed to function also?

I've never worked in a building that has had so many fire alarms and fire drills. Maybe we are on some kind of fire breathing fault line and they just want to be sure that we know the drill, possibly, perhaps ....
