Bench and beer

Today's excitement is the completion of the macrocarpa bench seat in front of the Mountain Beech.

Those of you balking at the thought of a 12m tree in my back yard, it will be trimmed and shaped so it's a bit above the height of the fence.

Sitting in front of my beech tree will bring me much pleasure. It's a place to meditate, drink coffee, read, drink beer, and to offer hospitality.

After work I test drove it with a book and beer.

Happy days, I today I discovered that Raining Dogs craft brewery is on my way home and offers refills on a Friday afternoon. Fantastic.

Today's gratitude: For the simple of pleasure of sitting in my back yard surrounded by plants I've chosen.
