Pleased as

I took Dad out for dinner tonight. He chose everything - restaurant, table, and time. I wanted everything to work best for him and it did.

We enjoyed a warm evening with a view of part of Orewa beach with plenty to watch - surfers, kayakers, paddle boards, and the surf life savers practising.

Dad did get through this mammoth lamb shank, enjoyed a well chosen pinot gris. He even managed a kids sized icecream sundae with a little help from hpx.

It was everything either of us could have hoped for.
