My people
The thing I love the most about the monthly vegan market in Walton-On-Thames is the sense of being in like minded company. You can browse the offerings, eat the food, talk to the stall holders and know that for an hour at least you are sharing the same values. I mean the cakes are fab. And the burgers today were just awesome. And I bought another vegan t shirt. But it’s the priceless sense of belonging I loved.
The Dizzle and Mystic Em came along today. She has gone vegan as well and he has become a self-declared flexitarian, which is his way of admitting that the vegan thing is actually okay. In terms of diet he is also now converted to the concept that it gives you all the protein and other stuff you need. Helps that there are now lots of celebs and body builders that have flipped over. Role models are so important.
This is a mango lassi sold by En Root which I thought was seriously good as it had a touch of cardamom in it. They are a food truck doing vegan Indian fusion food https://www.enrootldn.co.uk. The monthly vegan market is the third Saturday each month.
On the subject of vegan food ... very good experience in Bills last night, they have really upped their game.
Otherwise a chilled day. We both had busy weeks last week and were very happy to crash in our newly decorated front room. Feeling good ...
